IOS Heap Overflow Advisory

Hi all;

I became aware of this advisory and wonder if a patch/update is appplicable or necessary.

I have two 2600 series routers running 12.x vers. Here's excerpts from both:

Router 1.

IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.2(13)T5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Router 2.

IOS (tm) C2600 Software (C2600-I-M), Version 12.0(7)T, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

Looking through the advisory bulletin, I cannot figure out what repair release I should apply.

I also am wondering if I really need to apply any patch to begin with. I have firewalls behind these routers and run NAT and have NOT noticed any increase activity such as DOS or DDOS, etc. attacks.

Any replies would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Steve
