Hello Experts

I see lot of objects name start with "DM_INLINE_NETWORK_" in ASA configuration. What does it mean?

Sorry for my ignorance, I am new to ASA

Hi, these are custom objects automatically created when using the ASDM to edit ACLs etc.

HTH

For example, when using ASDM and you create or modify an ACL and you manually enter a couple of IP addresses rather than a pre-defined object group, ASDM will automatically create an object group called DM_INLINE_NETWORK_ and then reference that group in the ACL.

E.g. - this would be the output on ASDM (if you have the option to preview commands enabled).

object-group network DM_INLINE_NETWORK_1

network-object host 11.11.11.11

network-object host 11.11.11.12

access-list OUTSIDE_IN line 2 extended permit ip object-group DM_INLINE_NETWORK_1 object LAN
