      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;When firewall reports are generated, performance may be degraded as a result of configuring both WINS and DNS on Windows 2000 servers, because it may take a long time to resolve IP addresses to a hostname when the IP address does not exist in DNS or WINS. Security Monitor automatically disables any further DNS lookup activity for that particular report instance if the cumulative time for doing lookup in a particular report exceeds 10 minutes. Another way to improve performance is to reconfigure your report generation filters to select a smaller subset of syslog messages to be included in the report. &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
