    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;CiscoWorks was created to manage only Cisco devices using SNMP, CDP, and (telnet, SSH or TACACS+) depending of what you have configured in your devices. If you try to manage a non Cisco device in LMS, probably you will see it as unknown, unreachable or  not see it at all, and even if you can see it into the application, you would not be able to use the options the application has to manage it, like DFM (for alerts), RME (to gather configurations and IOS upgrades), Campus Manager (topology and End host information), etc. A solution that can monitor Cisco and Non-Cisco devices is SNMS 1.5 via SNMP protocol. The management will be restricted to a few devices only.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
