Cisco Security Agent Management Center (CSA MC) external SQL database

I want to install CSAMC on my VMS box but have it store all it's information on an exeternal SQL database on another server. Is this possible in version 4.0.3? If not, is it supported on 4.5?

Does anyone have intstrcutions on how to do this? When I start the CSAMC insatll it wants to install MSDE locally since I don't have SQL installed. But I don't want MSDE or SQL locally, I want to point the system to an external SQL database on another server.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Ali Tehrani

you can't do that 4.0.3; however, i think 4.5 will support this function.

This is not supported under 4.0, although I do know that Cisco has done it internally.

This is supported on CSA 4.5, as is multiple MCs talking to a single remote database.
