Is there any option for bug searching using the ASA version like Cisco IOS Software Checker?

For bugs you can use the bug search tool:

https://www.cisco.com/cisco/psn/bssprt/bss

, you can filter the product and select ASA and search for affected releases.

For security advisories you can use the cisco security advisories tool:

https://tools.cisco.com/security/center/publicationListing.x

, here you can search by product, but unfortunately not the releases.

But I am looking for a search tool/option by which we can search bugs/security advisories by giving device version.

I think in the bug search tool that you have given we search only using bug ID. No options found to sort using device version. Sorry If I am wrong.

Indeed the cisco security advisories tool is really useful

Hi smaliyak,

You can select the product and then search for bugs affecting or fixed in specific versions.

For instance I searched for bugs affecting ASA version 9.x :

For anyone facing the same issue: Cisco Bug Search is available in two versions — one for customers or partners and another for everyone else. Partners and customers enjoy full functionality and flexible search options. The lite version allows searching only for a Bug ID. After your initial registration, associate your account with the product or products you own to gain full access to Cisco Bug Search.

As an alternative, I recommend a Splunk App called Cisco Bug Search and Analytics ( Cisco Bug Search and Analytics | Splunkbase ), offering more features such as:

Unrestricted filtering with flexible property and keyword combinations
Asterisks (*) and regex support for precise searches
Listing workarounds for related topics or issues addressing specific components or situations
