      <title>Windows L2TP/IPsec to PIX w/ LOCAL Authentication</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am attempting Windows L2TP/IPSec connection to a pix 515. I am trying to use LOCAL authentication for the clients. This does not work. As soon as I use a RADIUS server for authentication it works fine. Anyone know why?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;If you want to authenticate users locally by using MS-CHAP or MS-CHAPv2 (which is normally used in conjunction with L2TP/IPSEC), you have to add the "mschap"-keyword at the end of the username-statement.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;username admin password cisco mschap&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Florian&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
