Configuring IPS on ASA

Is there any documentation on how to configure IPS on ASA. There is a basic enabling IPS modules in "Installing Cisco Intrusion Prevention System Appliances and Modules 5.0" guide. There is no mention on signature enabling, logging and tuning etc...

Is there any manuals available?

Here is the main link for the documentation for the IPS 5.0 software that runs on the SSM:

Apart from the initial imaging, setting up the sniffing interface, and setting up the ASA to send traffic to the IPS (which are all covered in the Installation guide you mentioned), the rest of the IPS configuration is the same as that for all of the other IPS Appliances and Modules.

Configuring the other IPS features (for all appliances and modules) is documented in the CLI and/or IDM configuration guides avilable on that main link.

If you have already been using IPS 5.0 on other Appliances and Modules then you can configure and manage the SSM the same way.
