Hi Guys,

So i couldn't find this in the knowledge article or anywhere else but currently we are changing up C9300-24P for a smaller version C9200-12P Due to getting a smaller closet for the switch. and 24 being too big for all the links.

Instead of choosing a new port starting a lan automation adding fabric etc. I was wondering if it was possible to just use the replace device option or is that only when a device is not usable anymore and from the same type?

check device RMA :

https://community.cisco.com/t5/networking-knowledge-base/device-replacement-in-sd-access/ta-p/4919280

If the model changed, then you need to delete old one add new device inventor as onboarding process.
