Hi

So we are running FiAB with eWLC installed, I want to upgrade the IOS-XE image on our 9300/9500 Swithches,

1. IOS-XE and eWLC image versions must mach ?

2.In DNAC Image repository I see the different image es but dont see any eWLC images downloaded, I have to manually download this and once Switch upgraded then manually upgrade eWLC ???

3.I have added two images, the ios-xe image in image repository has an addon tab it says Addon 4 and also a sub-package which is the eWLC Image for this IOS-XE version 17.12.0.4SPA.bin, does this mean if I upgraded the Switches to this IOS-XE version the eWLC would also be upgraded because of the sub-package or would I still need to maually upgrade the eWLC image?????

Thanks

"3.APs get new image pushed from new eWLC image." is something included in (e)WLC image but there r a lot of cases when update for arbitrary AP's HW new image gets updated via ASPS like it was in AIR-OS case via APs-update packages.

FiAB Upgrade with eWLC:
Compatibility: Yes, IOS-XE and eWLC versions must be compatible for FiAB functionality.
Separate Images: DNAC may not always show eWLC images. You might need to download them manually from Cisco.com. However, it's generally recommended to upgrade both together for consistency.
Sub-package: The "Addon 4" with eWLC sub-package simplifies things. Upgrading to this IOS-XE version will automatically upgrade the eWLC to the included version (17.12.0.4SPA.bin).
TL;DR: Upgrade the IOS-XE image with the sub-package. It handles eWLC upgrade automatically.
