Hi there,

We have standard SDA design with a fabric site including 2 border nodes with some intermediate nodes and edge nodes connected behind.

The problem is we have one border node configured as anywhere and the other one as external.

We plan to configure both border nodes as external, which means migrating the anywhere node to external. To accomplish this, we need to remove it from the fabric and then re-add it with the correct settings.

Has anyone done this before? From my experience and lab testing, this procedure shouldn’t have any impact since it only removes the overlay configuration. The remaining border node should continue to handle the fabric without issues.

It would be really helpful if someone has already gone through this process and can share their insights.

Thanks,

AL

1st ensure that non-fabric subnets served by anywhere BN are reachable from external BN.

then safely remove ABN from fabric. in case of issues call the TAC
