Yes, on your version you would use the jabber-config.xml to do that.

Restrict search hiding some users J4W

Hello,

I've been trying to hide some users in the J4W search. We have two companies in the same CUCM and I need users in the company1 not to see user of the company2. Is there any way I can do that? We have these users in differents OU, but the same DC.

LDAP User Search Base

Company1: OU=company1 dc=mycompany dc=com

Company2: OU=company2 dc=mycompany dc=com

Kind Regards,

Heriberto.

You would need to configure

You would need to configure the directory profiles to just look at the search bases they need to look at, and assign it accordingly to their service profile.

Thanks for your answer, Jaime

Thanks for your answer, Jaime.

I forgot to write an important information: in CUCM they have the version 8.6.2, so I don't have the option to configure Service Profiles. Is it in another tab than User Management for this version? If directory profile is not an option, Is there anything else I can do to solve this issue?

I thought I can solve this issue by modifying the jabber-config and looking at the AD (BDI) instead of the CUCM (UDS). By using searchBase, I would be able to tell J4W to look up in a specific search base. Is this conclussion valid?

Kind regards,

Heriberto.
