Misaligned Virtual Disks

I have several Unified Communications VMs that I deployed using the provided Cisco OVA templates. I'm told by our SAN administrator that they need to be aligned to work well on our NetApp SAN. This is in a FlexPod environment so I'm thinking we can't be first to run into this. Are there any recommendations on how best to accomplish this or can we do a "mbrscan" and "mbralign" on these VMs?

If you used the OVAs then it's likely you hit this bug:

The only way to align the vdisk is to blow the VM away and install again, followed by a DRS restore.

No, that's not the bug. I'm seeing this only from the storage side (NetApp). It's common for any disks that don't line up with 4k block values. Also, this isn't the 60GB OVA they mentioned. It predates that as I'm running 8.6(2) version of the UC apps.
