Is there a way of finding out which cisco unity connection accounts have not been used for a "x" amount of months - let say 3 months for example ???

Under Connection servicilbilty>tools> reports you can reports like 'user phone login' or 'user message activty' - that may provide what you are looking for....Regards, Jaginder

Hi Amer,

There are a number of results in this great tool that can help in

determining unused accounts in Unity Connection. Here are

a couple;

Mailbox unread messages older than 60 days

. The number of messages currently in the users’ mailbox that are unread (new) and arrived 30 or more days ago. This can be useful in finding mailboxes that are not being used.

NOTE: This requires that the time of the local client and the time of the Connection server be in agreement (they do not need to be in the same time zone, of course).

Time of Last Call. Indicates the date and time the user called in to check messages last. This can be handy for finding out which boxes have not been access at all or which ones have not been accessed in a long time. This value is converted into the local time of the computer you are running User Data Dump on

One thing that I have noticed is that if users are using CUPC/Jabber to access their voicemails CUDD doesnt log IMAP calls. It will only log an actual TUI/Phone access to the Unity Connections.

Gettting alot of data showing 'none' whereas others show a date - does that literally mean the account has never been used!

Hi there,

The "time of last call" may be helpful if all users only have TUI

access but if they are using web inbox of single inbox it may not help.

I kind of like these searchs now days (in conjunction with the "enrollment stats);

User generated mailbox activity detected in the last 60 days. How outputs a 1 if there's been any user generated activity detected for each mailbox and 0 if there has not been any in the last 60 days. This can be helpful for finding mailboxes that are no longer in use. Note that mailboxes that have been created less than 60 days ago will get a -1 value for this field.

How outputs a 1 if there's been any user generated activity detected for each mailbox and 0 if there has not been any in the last 90 days. Then if I am going to move onto the mailbox delete for users I generally go into their mailbox

and change the user extension field to a "phantom" number for some period of time just to be sure

before the final delete
