So here is the scenario. I have some phone login users to contact center. Since they do not have the functionality of having the directory that they can create if they had the AGENT, I would like them to have a directory that they can modify in the user portal and have the phone subscribed so it can see that directory. So say I have 3 users then I would have 3 directorys that each person can log into respectivly and create it the way they want. The when they hit the "directories" button on the phone it will show. I believe this is possible?

You did not specify the system you are using, assuming this is CUCM then ccmuser pages allow you to do just that and then access these directories under "personal directory" on the phone.

7.1.5.35112-2 Sorry about that. Yes that is what I am talkign about. I am trying to figure out how to set that. I have never done that before. I am having trouble finding the correct documentation as well.

Configure the end user in CUCM with "standard end user" user group and ensure the phone is associated with the user, then browse to https:/ccmuser and login as the user and you will be able to define it there.

So my login works but the end user I have set up does not. Is there a permissions or something I need to do to give the end user pemision to loginto the user page?

Did you associate the user with the standard end user group in CUCM?

Are you LDAP integrated or are the users defined locally in CUCM?

That was the problem I am LDAP integrated. So now I notice though i created a a contact in the PAB but I do not see it under the directories button on the phone?

So, you do not see "personal directory" option under the Directory button? Or when you select personal directory and authenticate you cannot locale the contact?

when I press the directories button I do not see the PAB option. Only the corporate Directory option.

In CUCM go to Device --> IP Phone services and see if you see "Personal Directory" service, check to see if it is Enabled and if it is set as enterprise subscription service.

So actually what i did was just use the enable check box as I am just testing it with one phone. then I subscribed that phone to the service. So now I see it but it gives me a "error on aunthentication" message when I select it.

Are you entering proper PIN, notice this is PIN not password.

where do i enter the PIN at? it does not ask me for a PIN. So I set the paramters for EXT and ID and password on the service then applied the service to the phone and then on the phone set the ose apramters to be correct.

So example ext:4677 ID: htdd password 12345

I am guessing that is wrong?

You do not defined any parameters on the service, when you select the service on the phone you should be presented with login screen asking for username (LDAP) and PIN (locally defined under end user).

I removed the parameters but it does not bring me to a screen to log in when I selct the service. I push the Driectories button then scroll to the PAB service and select it but no screen to log in.

There should be a default personal directory service of service type Directory with URL:

Application:Cisco/PersonalDirectory

The one you listed is an old school PAB custom service. I am pretty sure this pertains to version 7 as well though I dont have version 7 install to validate.
