Unity Connection 2.1.2 to 9.1

Hello all,

We are planning to upgrade our Unity Connection 2.1.2.1000-380 from MCS to UCS 9.1.

Current MCS Server is MCS-7815-I3

I need to know the path that should i follow to upgrade.

Can i install the same Unity Connection version 2.1.2.1000-380 to UCS, restore the database from MCS & upgrade it to 9.1 ?

If yes what is the upgrade path we have to jump from 2.1 to 9 ?

If not then whats the alternative ?

No, you cannot install anything below 8.x on UCS
You upgrade to 7.x,and then either you keep upgrading all the way to 9, or you use COBRAS

Read the upgrade guides and RNs for all info, everything is on CCO

I upgraded to unity connection 9.1.2 successfully.

Upgrade path that i follow 2.1.2 (6.1.2) -> 2.1.3 (6.1.3) ->2.1.5 (6.1.5)-> 9.1.2

Congrats man. I have the same task to upgrade unity connection from 2.1.2 to 9.1.2 version.

Hardware: MCS 7845H2

CPU Type	Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU 5140 @ 2.33GHz
Memory	4096 Mbytes

Software: 6.1.2.1000-380

Version: 2.1.2

Can you please provide the steps followed to upgrade successfully such as DRS and Cobras tools used.

Hello Ibrahim,

I upgraded unity connection from physical MCS to UCS.

On MCS i had version 2.1.2. I installed the same version on UCS, restore the database from MCS through DRS.

Once data restored, i upgraded to ver 2.1.3 (6.1.3) then 2.1.5 (6.1.5) then installed cop.sgn file & then ver 9.1.2

I didnt use COBRA. If you want to use COBRA u should have Unity connection on 7.X.
