Upgarding unity connection from 2.0 to 8.0

Dear All,

I am requesting some information regarding the unity connection upgrade.

We are planning to uprade our untiy connection to 8.0 from 2.0.

I just want to know whether it is possible to upgrade direcly from our existing version to 8.0 or required any intermediate version ?

Please give me an advice.

You can find this information by looking into the Release Note for the version of Unity 8.x you want to go to.

The release notes can be found here:

Once in the Release Note go to:

'Supported Cisco Unity Connection Upgrades'

Once here you will be directed to link for 'Cisco Unified Communications Manager Software Compatibility Matrix"

Once here you will look for 'Supported Cisco Unified Communications Manager Upgrades'

Here you will find the Table for the version you are wanting to go to.

For instance here is the table you should look at if you want to go to Unity 8.0:

This table is saying you must be running 6.1.2 otherwise known as 2.1.2 for Connection to directly upgrade to 8.0.

Therefore you must at least upgrade you 2.0 to at least 2.1.2 before you can consider an upgrade to 8.0.
