Hello Greg - A few thoughts come to mind. 1. Have you checked your AP settings since joining it to the controller? Is it possible the controller has kicked the AP back to a 20MHz bandwidth? 2. What about channel selection - is the AP at 40MHz using the same two bonded channels? If not, is it possible the "other" channel being bonded is in the same range as an interferer in your environment? 3. Is the image downloaded from the controller the latest version?

Good luck!

Bill

Hi everyone,

I have this situation:

1250 Autonomous (latest IOS, clean config, set ssid, wpa2, channel width 40 MHz). When I send file by FTP I get this:

Client => FTP 10-12 MiB

FTP => Client 11-13 MiB

But after converting this AP to LAP and connecting to WLC (4402) I get this

Client => FTP 13 MiB

FTP => Client 6 MiB

My laptops are:

Dell d620 with Intel WiFi Link 4645 latest driver

Lenovo t400 with Intel WiFi Link 5300 latest driver

Sw ver for WLC 4.2.130 and 5.1

I also tried Windows SMB, same issue, upload OK, download slow. Switch and FTP server are OK - tested by 1GB wire connection.

Maybe someone had similar case.

Cheers

Greg

Hi

Thank you for respond.

1. Yes I have 40 MHz for sure

2. No overlapping channels (I am using 5 GHz, static configuration)

3. Yes 🙂

Please note I do not have this problem with Autonomous AP.

Cheers

Greg
