topic Question regarding universal client mode in Wireless

Hello folks,

I've been searching on documentation regarding universal client mode for the AP-HWIC modules (in this case in a 2801 ISR) and how the "station-role non-root" command on the radio interface allows the AP to associate to another AP. The question I have is this; if I configure this AP to associate to another AP, is it possible for additional wireless clients to still associate to this AP?

for instance, I have a gateway vlan, let's say vlan 4 for arguments sake. I configure this vlan on a radio sub-interface, and this vlan/ssid is the one configured to associate to the other non-Cisco AP with. If I define other SSID's/vlans and additional sub-interfaces, is it possible for other properly configured clients to associate to this access point?

thanks in advance for any comments.

Cody
