Tracking Apple products while Roaming

When Cisco tests the roaming of apple products, what apps or tools are you using to see when the apple device roams?

Specifically for our case, we have both wlc based and meraki based wireless networks, and we have ipads deployed. we want to know if there are any apps or tools for the ipads that will show us when the ipad roams from ap to ap. I know this is limited and may not exist. if that is the case, what other tools are available to tracking the ipad when it roams. We need apps or tools that we can use in both environments.
