Is WLC release 8.5.131 compatible with ISE 2.1?

We are upgrading our WLC 2504 from version 8.1.102.0 to 8.5.131.0. Need to know if this version will be compatible with ISE 2.1, the release note says 2.2 and 2.3 but did not mention about 2.1. Can someone confirm on this?

Two things here... will it work, for basic radius it should, will TAC support it, probably not. The reason I say this is because Cisco probably doesn’t test with older versions which is a reason they would not support it. Radius is radius, it’s if your doing other things that might not work or might not be as stable. Every environment is different so it’s hard to say if what you are doing in 8.5 works with 2.1. We have a system for Mac auth that is on 1.3 ISE and v8.5 for controllers and that piece works but migrating that to our ISE instances of 2.2.

After the WLC upgrade, the radius authentication works fine with ISE 2.1.
