Nope, You have to install the required software on Appliance MSE 3365.

1. Plug a monitor and keyboard to the Physical box

2. Boot the box

3. press "F8" for CIMC configuration on the prompted screen. (For initial setup CIMC utility will be used)

4.Select IP section and configure CIMC IP,subnet & GW IP.

5. Press F10 to save and Esc key to exit

Now, access CIMC using https://CIMC-IP and default credentials admin/password. After successful login, find KVM Console. It will be located under Server Summary pane under "Actions".

1. From KVM Console you need to enable virtual DVD, Virtual Media-> Activate Virtual Device and confirm the message.

2. Click CD/DVD and browse the image file. Now select, Map device

3. Under Virtual Media, you can view the mapped image

4. Reboot the system

5. While the system is booting, press F6 and get into Boot menu and select KVM "Mounted DVD" option

6. After this, the system will complete the install with no further input.

Once the ISO CMX has been mounted, the steps for actual installation is expained in the below document. refer "Installing a Cisco MSE virtual Appliance" section:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/mse/10-3/installation/guide/installation_guide_103/installing_a_cisco_mse_virtual_appliance.html#task_197630952929660697614654441542633

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Divya

Hi,

MSE eirlier version used to come with CMX installed as part of the platform. Later on Cisco had splited in two differents platform. You could have MSE and CMX as separated platform.

Not sure if what you are trying to do is correct, as what I understood you are trynig to install CMX on a MSE appliance.

Dont you have any virtual machine available? Could be more easy.

which step are you in? Can you put a pic from your screen?

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I need to install a CMX into an MSE3365 box.

Solution: There is a bug of the latest firmware. Need to connect to SSH even if you are already connected to the kvm console.
