Smart licences types

Hello all,

I am beginner in the world of cisco wireless , i need your help !

I have installed a controller 5520 with APs , and cisco prime infrastructure , all is good .

I have a different licences smart but i don't know how i have types of licences not use it (show 0 use )

i would like to know why ? and what is their importance ?

i share with you bellow these types of licences

Hi,

To use these licenses you must have a smart account and access either to your satellite or cisco cloud.

prime infrastructure 3.x assurance lic --> Its used by Cisco Prime infrastructure to maange APs

CISCO DNA Essentials Term Licenses --> Cisco WLC will use it

AP perpetual network stack essentials --> To use more advanced features , example: https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/global/da_dk/assets/training/seminaria-materials/Licenses-Networking-for-everybody-with-DNA.pdf

Why these licences not in use (show 0 in use ) ?

WLC 5520 or WLC 8540 or WLC 3504 Access point license .
prime Infrastructure 3.X Lifecycle Lic.
Prime Infrastructure 3.X BASE Lic

Do you already connect your WLC/Prime to cisco cloud or to your sattelite (On-prem) ?

If your device are connected to cisco cloud/smart account then:

If devices are using it then you will see IN USE else 0 will be there(Meas Cisco wlc or prime is not using these licenses).

I buy it bat i can't use it why ?
