Can anyone please suggest the path to upgrade WLC 2504 software from version (7.0.220.0) to version 8.5.131.0 (ED). Below is the output from 'show sysinfo'

You are going to have a step upgrade. Take a look at the release not for 8.5.131.0 and then look at the minimum code and then again look up that release not until it shows that you can upgrade directly. This will show you the limitations and possible risks when upgrading.

Include the model of AP's you have because old ones are not supported on 8.5

AP Model: AIR-CAP1552SD-A-K9
These are supported on 8.0.152.0(MD). Will settle on 8.0 instead of 8.5

Any suggestion on FUS upgrade?

Do the FUS, if it's indeed newer than the one your are running.

Please note, it takes around 30 minutes for the FUS upgrade alone, while the controller is offline.
