Friends

I have a mesh network with approximately 50 APs, but when an AP becomes unavailable due to the link, for some reason it is joining another controller, even without the "High Availability" option being enabled.
The only common point is the Local Mobility Group, what can be happening?

Oi Flavio, a unica referência é o grupo. Os elementos não estão apontando para a WLC secundária, cenário muito estranho:

Do you maybe send both controllers IP addresses in the DHCP Option 43?
Or are they both registered in the CISCO-LWAPP-CONTROLLER.domain DNS entry?

There are several ways from an AP to learn controllers IP:

By broadcast (On the same VLAN or with IP helper), by DHCP opt 43, by DNS, By AP HA, WLC on the same mobility group and Primary backup controllers. Also if you have enabled fast heartbeats the AP prediscover potential failover controllers.

In the DNS case, the DHCP will be informed about DNS Server and domain name.

You can check that by issuing the following command on the AP:
