Buenas Tardes, estoy teniendo una dificultad con un router modelo C881W-A-K9 IOS flash:c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M7.bin, modulo AP 802 ios ap802-k9w8-mx.153-3.JC6 no se puede registrar en la controladora y al acceder al modulo ap service-module el modulo queda en modo rommon es como si fuese que el dispositivo no sabe por que ios bootear.OpenRommonACC2

Algun comentario seria de mucha ayuda Gracias.

1. Me parece que lo primero que debes de realizar es la recuperación de la imagen del AP.

Lo puedes hacer a traves del siguiente Link.

2. La guía completa del router y el modulo del AP lo puedes encontrar aquí.

Si en esto caso ya lo había hecho 2 veces los mismos paso de poder cargar el ios lightweight con la version correspondiente del WLC nuevamente.
8.2.151.0 15.3(3)JC6 Lightweight APs: 1040, 1140, 1260, 1600, 1700, 1810 OEAP, 1810W, 1830, 1850, 2600, 2700,
2800, 3500e, 3500i, 3500p, 3600e, 3600i, 3600p, 3702e, 3702i, 3702p, 3800, 600 OEAP, 700,
700W, AP802, AP803, ASA5506W-AP702

Pero cuando quiero acceder al equipo veo que no tengo administracion como si fuese que se salio del registro del wlc. Y queda en modo rommon la unica forma de poder registrar y poder acceder al equipo es reiniciando el router.

I think I understand your question, but my Spanish is not good enough to answer with.
You need to download a lightweight image for your AP from the Cisco support site.
Here you find an installation manual: https://supportforums.cisco.com/t5/wireless-mobility-documents/access-point-rommon-recovery-ap-prompt-recovery-example/tac-p/3119498/highlight/true#M758
Please note, the manual is for a different access point model, but the commands are the same. Just change the filename to the one you have downloaded.
The AP can't register to the WLC without a lightweight image installed. Rommon means it's either broken or has no image installed.

Good morning,
I fully understand the steps to follow for IOS recovery. My question is the following as I would be doing with the button mode I feel that the ap 802 is intergrando in the router 881?
I know that the models ap 2600 have the reset button in that case if it works correctly.

Oh I didn't see that detail, sorry. I've never worked with those routers, but I think you can do it.

You have to load the configuration in the Router environment.

As you are already in ROMMON, there is no need to reset it. It doesn't have a configuration loaded there.
