      <description>&lt;P&gt;Answer is yes&amp;nbsp;you can but&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Make sure both WLCs are the same version!!!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;If not on smae version then start the new WLC config from scratch.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>I suggest to setup the new one in parallel and then go through all options, screen by screen. That way you will also see new/different options, which the newer/bigger hardware offers.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Let me chime in... you can export the configuration from one controller and edit the file because you will need to change your hostname and ip address unless doing a replacement.&amp;nbsp; Now, one thing to note is that some of the configurations will fail because of the port difference between the 2504 and 5508.&amp;nbsp; In the end, you still want to run a diff between the two configuration files and or go through the GUI like what was mentioned already to confirm your setting are the same.&amp;nbsp; I have done this with different code versions, but with newer versions, there are new features that you will need to look into.&amp;nbsp; Keep those disabled if you don't know what they are.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
