Combining licenses of two WLC?

Hi,

Is it possible to combine two 2504 WLC License, in which 1st WLC has 75 license and 2nd WLC has 25 license. Total AP's are 100.

can we merge these licenses or WLC's to operate all the AP's in the same network?

Send an email to Cisco Licensing Team with the serial numbers of the two units.

Hi,

you can rehost licenses ( if you have valid support contract) from one WLC to another , but..

2504 support up to 75 APs.

we can do that by rehost, but 2504 can support up to 75 license only,

Yes, you can configure same Mobility group ( for roaming) , same RF group (for RRM)

This is enough.

But you can configure Primary/Secondary WLC (for AP Failover and High Availability).

But it is optional, because AP Failover will work only with Mobility group.

And I forgot. With 2504 you can not rehost "manufactored" licenses.
