Access point physical location

One of offices has placed all access point above the ceiling title. The person in charge that project left the company. Now, we try to find out where 135 access points locate in a 10 floors office space. I know some people use WiFi analyzer for trying to determine the access point location by proximity according to signal strength.

That method is very time-consuming and the result is limited.

Does any one know other method to find an access point physical location?

That is the only real way of finding hidden AP's. Most of the time, there are documentation in regards to AP locations to make things easier. If you don't have that, then it will be time consuming.

Locating an access point requires the use of a spectrum analyzer, such as HackRF, or a Wi-Fi analyzer for trying to determine the access point location by proximity according to signal strength.

If you know your cabling, perhaps the output of "test cable-diagnostics tdr" can give you some hints of the location.
