I read in a forum that the IEEE standard version of MFP - 802.11w (called Protected Management Frames - PMF) - will be supported in WLC release 7.4 (expected in early Q1 2013).

Is official maintenance release 7.4 for WLCs out yet? If not, when is it expected? Is it expected to be released for both 4400 and 5500 WLCs?

Thanks for posting your bugs:) +5 Its nice when other post solutions:)

What I have seen as far as stability is what AP's do you have in your environment. For example, there is an issue with the 3600's also on code 7.3 in the unii-1 and if you have 1142's, well the v7.4.100.0 had issues with that and that was fixed in 7.4 MR1, but a few related issues again with 1142 and MR1.

So when you look at what code is stable, you have to look at it in a few ways. First, if your running HA or not and then what AP's do you have to support on your WLC. You will also see a difference if you have different WLC models. Code will not go MD until after 10 months and TAC gives the thumbs up that its a stable code.

Sent from Cisco Technical Support iPad App
