What am I missing here?

I have connected my 2504 to a 3560 switch via a UTP SFP on a Gig port.

I have my management on 10.0.0.x I have tried tagging the port and untagging.

When I connect to the 3560 the interface comes up a-1000 a-full but when I look on the WLC the port I am using, port 1, shows Link status down.

The green light is on both the WLC port and the 3560 port but I cannot get the link status to come up on the WLC nor can I ping the WLC.

It must be something dumb I have missed.

The WLC port is autonegotiate too.

Thanks for any input.

I think this 2504 must be faulty.

I had another look at it today and port 1 showed link status up but I still couldn't ping. So I disconnected the cable and moved it to port 2 to see if that came up but when I looked at the port summary it still showed port 1 up even though it had no cable in it and port 2 was down with a cable in it and a link light on.

I stuck an AP on the 1st PoE port and it boots but the WLC port still shows down with PoE enabled and (power off) against the port where the AP has actually booted now. It's an autonomous AP

I think this WLC is stuffed.

Thanks for all your input.
