hi friends,

actually i have a wism card installed on cat6509 series switch

from switch sh module showing wism is pass and ok

and sh wism status also showing every thing is ok

i configured the basic configuration setup for controller 1

but when i try to login through consol port of 2nd controller its stuck i mean hang

also its not doing harware test and exactly at this its stuck

but at startup of boot option comes like to change primary or secondry image and clear configr etc etc

i pressed ESC key than it show me this error

Boot Options

Please choose an option from below:

1. Run primary image (version Not Found) (active)

2. Run backup image (version Not Found)

3. Manually update images

4. Change active boot image

5. Clear Configuration

Please enter your choice: 1

** Unable to use ide 0:4 for fatload **

Bad Magic Number

kindly advise me how i can fix my unit

i will relly appreciate

this is very urgent and important for me

Q. The Cisco 4400 Series Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) will not boot. This error message is received on the controller: ` Unable to use ide 0:4 for fatload Error (no IRQ) dev 0 blk 0: status 0x51 Error reg: 10 ** Can't read from device 0`. Why?

A. The reason for this error might be a hardware issue. Open a TAC case to further troubleshoot this problem. In order to open a TAC case, you need to have a valid contract with Cisco. Refer to Technical Support in order to contact the Cisco TAC.

You will need to contact your Cisco rep to progress.

Hi there..

We have encountered the same error on our WLC today and have raised a fault with TAC.

Did this turn out to be a hardware fault or was it fixable in the end ?..
