WLC 4402 SSID Broadcast

Hi Friend.

I have a solution of 44 APs Cisco 1131 AG, and I have 2 WLC 4402, In both WLCs I have been configured 6 WLAN for each service that I have. All these WLANs don't have to make a SSID Broadcast, I wan to bind the SSID, but when into the WLAN configuration I put SSID Broadcast disable. with my laptop I can not joint to the APs??. Only when I put the Broadcast SSID enable I can connected?? How can I fix this issue??

Are you configuring the profile on your laptop when the ssid is not broadcasting? If you disable broadcast on the ssid, you will not see the ssid when using windows zero or any 3rd party configuration tool. If you do have the ssid configured on the device but can't associate to the ssid, then I would look at updating your driver on your device. Then see if that helps.

Hi friend.

Let me tell you that all the solution is working perfect.

The problem was with some wireless card were broken.

I have a question.

In this WLC 4402 I have a WLAN this wlan is for ToIP, al the Cisco 7921G must link to the APs, and go to the Cisco Call Manager. But in the IP Phone I do not have radio Signal??, I remember the same problem with other customer, I solved that configuring into the Radio Interface the follow command

#interface Dot11Radio0

world-mode dot11d country US both

How can I config this comand into the Wireless LAN Controller???

Hi Friend.

Let me tell you that all the APs is working fine into the Wireless Lan Controller (4202), but I have a little problem with the Cisco 7921 IP Phone. The Cisco 7921 ip phone is working and someody is talking there are some times nobody can not hear you and I can not hear nothing secods before the IP phone began with the registration fot twice times but the signal is OK, How can I solve this problem??.

Do you have more than one WLC 4402? If so, do you have your mobility up and running? Also do you have QoS configured on the WLC and on the infrastructure?

Yes I have 2 WLC 4402. I do not have mobility.

QOS is enable into the WLC.

So I am thinking in make an upgrade to Operative Systems of the WLC.

How can I solve this issue??

1st of all, you need to configure the mobility groups. This way all devices will roam properly and will not drop a connection when a device roams from an ap on one wlc to an ap on the other wlc.

What code are you running on the wlc and what ap's do you have?
