Hello,

We have LAP1242 registered to wlc. The initial config was done by someone. Now I try to access the LAP with telnet or http but failed. So is the serial port my only way to get access to it and config? However, the LAP is mounted under the ceiling.

Hi Jimmy,

If you want to ssh to ap, you can enable the same from the WLC, using the command " config ap ssh enable

Can you let me know why you need to access the AP, as all the config is done from the WLC

u need to enable telnet o ssh in the AP config on the WLC..I beliebe it is in the advance tab..the last one from left to right.
