Wireless Mesh with Local mode APs

Hi All,

I've a customer who is expanding their office to a building across street and they want to implement following design.

WLC --SWITCH1-- RAP -- MESH --- MAP -- SWITCH2 -- LOCAL MODE APs

Will this design works? If yes, what should be the configuration on

SWITCH 1 interface where the RAP is connected
SWITCH 2 interface where the MAP is connected
SWITCH 2 interfaces where LOCAL MODE APs are connected
WLC MESH configuration.

Found the answer: CAPWAP over CAPWAP is not supported and thus the following design will not work.

WLC --SWITCH1-- RAP -- MESH --- MAP -- SWITCH2 -- LOCAL MODE APs

But what if I configure one of the Local Mode APs behind the MAP as Mobility Express controller and join the rest of the Local mode APs to this ME, then will it work?

WLC --SWITCH1-- RAP -- MESH --- MAP -- SWITCH2 -- Mobility Express -- Local Mode APs

Can I keep them (all devices shown above) on flat network (VLAN 1), without any additional VLANs going through the Mesh?
