Hi Several AP are not labeled on their surface. we do not know their name based on their surface. When PC is put under the AP, can we get to know the name of the AP? Maybe we need application installed on the PC. we are using WLC 5508 and cisco AP. Thank you

Pick one of those AP from controller GUI, You can use "LED Flash State" feature (wireless > AP > Advanced), then you can locate that AP easily.

Then you can give a proper name.

HTH
