topic AP / 3850 Compatibility in Wireless

Hi,

I am finding the compatibility documentation for WLC/AP a little confusing. I think I have come to the conclusion that the AIR-AP1810W Access points are not compatible at all with 3850 switches running WLC.

Is anyone able to confirm whether this is the case?

Thanks in advance.

One thing to note is 16.3.x is the last supported version for "converged access".

You will see something like below in 16.5.x release notes

Converged Access (CA) is not supported beyond Cisco IOS XE Denali 16.3.x.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3850/software/release/16-5/release_notes/ol-16-5-3850.html

HTH
