I am seeing this with a 2504 WLC and 3802 APs. I am remote and not able to console in, would be interested in any other possible solution; these are new APs.

Edit: Quick fix for me was I didn't have the proper regulatory domain for these APs.

AP Join Process - issue - Same gateway prevails

Hi Everyone,

I have set up new WLC-5520 and testing AP 3700 series to join.

Currently no AP is joining the WLC as WLC and AP are in the same subnet.

But I can see on WLC this re-occurring message on the terminal Same gateway prevails

*osapiBsnTimer: Jan 04 11:58:22.299: Same gateway prevails
*osapiBsnTimer: Jan 04 11:58:32.679: Same gateway prevails
*osapiBsnTimer: Jan 04 11:58:43.007: Same gateway prevails
*osapiBsnTimer: Jan 04 11:58:53.387: Same gateway prevails
*osapiBsnTimer: Jan 04 11:59:03.727: Same gateway prevails

Can anyone has insight on this.. is there any config that I'm missing?

Regards,

S

Thanks everyone.

I have resolved the issue by resetting the AP to default config.

It can be done by GUI... OR

Consoling to AP with command: clear capwap private-config

Regards,
