topic The part of the model,"CAP" in Wireless

The part of the model,"CAP" means the AP is lightweight and requires a controller to function. Most all access points defualt username and password is Cisco/Cisco.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/ios/release/notes/rn-15-3-3-JBB2.html#pgfId-381869

If when you boot up the AP, you see it trying to find a controller, then you need a controller. You can convert that AP to autonomous, but you need to be able to download the code with your CCO.

ap1g1-k9w7-tar.153-3.JBB5.tar

http://tinyurl.com/qgp6dxj

If you console into the AP and issue a show version, the k9w7 is autonomous and the k9w8 is lightweight. The conversion process once you download the autonomous image is all over the internet. Just search for lightweight to autonomous

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/58026/lwapp-mode-autonomous-mode-conversion

Hope this helps
