Hi All,

I have a Cisco AP - 3500 which is showing blinking red. But when i connect the same AP on the other switch interface, it works fine, I can see clients getting connected on Cisco Controller.

Can any one confirm the issue with this AP when connected on other switch.

Regards,

Shaf

Can any one confirm the issue with this AP when connected on other switch.

Nothing wrong with the AP. I'd like at the configuration of the switch.

Unless someone consoles into the AP and provides some kind of output we can all play a game of "20 questions".

I am suspecting the AP didn't get a valid IP address.

Hi Leo,

Thanks for looking into this.

Just wanted to know, AP is powered through Switch. But i am unable to see the mad address of the AP on the switch ARP table. Do you think that there might some cabling issue or something?

Regards,

Shaf

Are both switches PoE?. Are you using power injector in one of the cases?.

If power injector is one of your cases, I found in the past that Power Injector State had to be enabled and override option selected (I am using Prime NCS).

thanks

Make sure your using POE or power injector , For Power injectors you have to enable this option from controller.

Make sure to change the port on the same switch ,because it can be port issue or cable. Also check you are getting the correct ip address, if so then CDP will show the information correctly.
