Thank you for the response. I know that with this kind of network I lose half the bandwidth but it is the only way, I guess, since there will be no wires ( I don't know why) in the building, except the one for the root AP.

Wireless meshed network with stand-alone APs

I need to know if it is possibile to create a meshed wireless network using three stand-alone APs, with one of them the root AP. If this kind of network is possibile, which AP model can I use? Is it possibile to create it with any model of AP?

You can, you'll want to look

You can, you'll want to look at the configurations for either Root/Non-Root or repeater, depending on where the AP are going to be in relationship to each other.

All Cisco aIOS ap support working in this mode. Be advised that if you do repeater mode, you will lose half the bandwidth at each hop.

HTH,

Steve

Yes, you can surely deploy the 3 AP as mesh wireless network. For deployment please refer to the link-

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/technology/mesh/7-0/design/guide/MeshAP_70.html

Thank you, I have one more question. It seems to me that in repeater mode I can have only one SSID, am I right?
