Hello,

I'm new to the Cisco Wireless products. We acquired a Cisco 2504 wireless controller and a couple of Cisco Aironet 1602i AP's.

I was abled to configure the controller, but the AP's won't join.

This is what the AP's spit at me when I connect to the console:

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Discovery response from MWAR 'Cisco_Wi

Fi_Controller'running version 7.0.220.0 is rejected.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Failed to decode discovery response.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: CAPWAP SM handler: Failed to process m

essage type 2 state 2.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Failed to handle capwap control messag

e from controller

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Failed to process unencrypted capwap p

acket from 192.168.102.72

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Discovery response from MWAR 'Cisco_Wi

Fi_Controller'running version 7.0.220.0 is rejected.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Failed to decode discovery response.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: CAPWAP SM handler: Failed to process m

essage type 2 state 2.

*Mar 1 00:01:43.606: %CAPWAP-3-ERRORLOG: Failed to handle capwap control messag

e from controller

The version of the software of the AP's is 15.2. The controller has software version 7.0.220.0.

What is causing these messages?

Thanks,

Wim
