We are decommisioning a big site and we are looking at having to default the configs on about 40-50 ap's. Other than manually logging into each ap via the controllers and defaulting them is there an easy way to default a bunch of them at once via either the controller or we have WCS at our disposal. So far have not found a way in WCS to do this , you default controllers easy enough but haven't found a way via WCS to do mass ap's though I could be missing something obvious.

WCS doesn't have that feature. Or you can create a simple script and use the CLI:

clear ap config <CISCO ap=""></CISCO>

Thanks,

Scott

Help out other by using the rating system and marking answered questions as "Answered"

If you console into the ap and delete private config

If you log into the controller you can delete the ap config by selecting the ap and hitting the clear all config button on the right

I suspect you can do a WCS template for this as well, dont have WCS in front of me to check

Hope this helps

__________________________________________________________________________________________
"Satisfaction does not come from knowing the solution, it comes from knowing why." - Rosalind Franklin

pull the names of the AP either out of WCS or the WLC. then create a text file

clear ap config < AP Name>

rinse, repeast for all the AP, then paste into the CLI of the WLC. Or use the WLC to push this as a CLI template.

HTH,
Steve

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please remember to rate useful posts, and mark questions as answered
