hi,

i want do inventory of APs. there is option in AP tab called inventory. But each time i have to select ap , then see the serial number.

is there any way, where can i c all the serial number at a time with AP's hostname?

cos we use more than 80 APs. WLC is 4404

Yes, do you have WCS? You can pull a complete inventory list.

If you dont have WCS. Get a 30 day demo from cisco and you can use the demo to pull the list...

WCS is a Software which will be running on a VM or the Windows or Linux machine.. If u dont hav one then u can go for SNMP WALK using any third party SNMP browsers and use WLC MIBS to get wat eva u want

However i personally recommend u to buy Cisco WCS or NCS Why because

1> I work for Cisco, so i am recommending

2> U get Awesome support

3> No reason to wory since its Cisco

Yes, its software. It is licensed by AP count. However, you can get 30 day demos. If you are looking to purchase, then you should go with NCS as WCS will no longer be sold.

I agree with the rest. Go with NCS is the way to go.

Whether or not you should get the software or hardware version of the NCS depends entirely upon the size of your wireless infrastructure (APs, controllers, MSE, etc.).

Let us know what your design is and we'll "vet" it.
