ap with controller question

Hi,

Given the setup where i have multiple APs (LWAPP) connected to a WLC and a radius server, whenever a host connects to say AP1, when authentication occurs on the radius server, would the radius communicate with the WLC directly or with the AP?

Sorry am a bit confused, i was just thinking that the only host i should have on the radius server should be the WLC.

Hi,

Radius server would communicate with WLC. Your thoughts are right, only WLC is to be added as AAA host in Radius server. There is no need to add APs.
