how does this AP should get IP Address?

what is the switch port configuration that you have for this AP?

do you see any request on your DHCP server coming from this AP?

I have a cisco aironet 1832i preloaded with Mobility Express Software version 8.5.140.

This access point was previously working as the primary controller up until recently when the users complained of no internet connection. Upon checking the boot process via the console I can see the following loop " Waiting for uplink IPv4 configuration". I have already logged a case with cisco but any idea on what the issue could be would be of assistance.

There is a DHCP server already installed.

what is the switch port configuration that you have for this AP?

This is a client's access point and from my knowledge, they just connected directly to the switch port.

do you see any request on your DHCP server coming from this AP?

What I know is that the other APs have recieved an IP address apart from this one.

I would need to get confirmation is the same for this AP.

Yes, currently the reason it doesn't work is because it didn't receive an IP address, for whatever reason. Full DHCP lease table, faulty network cable, buggy dhcp server, ...

The DHCP table doesn't seem to be full as other devices are getting IP's from the DHCP server, the network cable is working as I connected another Cisco Aironet 1832i AP.

Did you console into the ap and look at the output? The output will show you what is wrong.
