Maximum AP's

Hi All,

Would someone be able to tell me the maximum AP's supported by my AIR-CT8510-K9, It says 6000 but is that only a maximum if i bought the license or is that default

Yes, you need to buy the

Yes, you need to buy the license for the amount of AP you need.

6000 is the max no of AP this platform could handle.

Default is Zero.

Default is Zero.

But if you can enable the evaulation license on it then you can connect APs to WLC.

The 8510's have right to use licensing, but you still should buy license for TAC support. Here is the 8510 licensing FAQ:

With RTU right to use licensing, it's a trust between you and Cisco. You can enable all 6000 and use it, but you really shouldn't without purchasing license. It will also come down to support contracts.

It doesn't have a time limit, but Cisco did this to make it easier for the customer and again, it's a trust between you and them:)
