Hi

One good reason would be that fact that native vlan does not tag packets and for SSID traffic you need to tag it otherwise would be completed separese two SSIDs.

-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-

Is there any reason a FlexConnect AP can't put a WLAN on the native VLAN of the trunk to the switch?

I have only 2 VLANs to work with at a location, and it wasn't set up with a separate network management VLAN. So now I need to get a second SSID to drop on the same VLAN that's used for network management and the native VLAN of the trunk.

I got an error when trying to set it up directly in the AP's FlexConnect config, but it let me do it in a FlexConnect group config.

I'm not really following you there. I do have two separate SSIDs, but since there are only 2 VLANs one of the SSIDs has to land on the native VLAN of the AP.
