dear team,

i have query for wireless controller SSO function.

our client have two WLC support contract AIR-CT5508-12-K9. i have discussed with cisco team .they are informed us to add minimum ap license count-50nos only to be work at WLC SSO.

can you please confirm. how to change WLC support contract renew for two controller with 50 ap license need as only one controller required or both controller (active and standby funcation)

please share details for us immediately.

If you are doing SSO with

If you are doing SSO with 5508, one of your WLC will require a 50 license count. Second one will become the HA Pair and won't require licenses instead when failover happens licenses from the primary will move to the secondary one.

Licensing for HA Pair

A HA Pair can be established between two WLCs running in these combinations:

One WLC has a valid AP Count license and the other WLC has a HA SKU UDI
Both the WLCs have a valid AP Count license
One WLC has an Evaluation license and the other WLC has a HA SKU UDI or Permanent license

thanks for comments. i have one more queries.

we have two WLC controller 5508.Each controller currently run as 12 AP license.

SSO function happened with controller need as 50 AP license. if we will possible to use existing

license and remaining how much license require to buy contract.

so please confirm it will be possible or not

Correct buy the additional licenses and you will be good. Frankly I'm not a fan of SSO. To many issues.
