Hi All.

I have Cisco wireless controller 5505 it support 25 APs but I have requirement of 24+16 APs .I need to know how can I upgrade my WLC and how much licences I needed .

Send an email to Cisco Licensing. Include the serial number of the WLC and tell them you need to purchase 50 AP license.

Licensing team will give you instructions what to do next.

This what we have, which part number we required to have 25 APs more license on this wireless Controller.

Why you mentioned me 50APs licenses , what I believe if I have 25 APs licenses existing as mentioned above in BOQ and if I will buy 25 APs license more than it will fulfil my requirement then why I need to go with LIC-CT5508-50A.

Please Clarify to me.

Why you mentioned me 50APs licenses

Because the licensing system of the 5508/WiSM2 are from a "distorted reality". The appliance already has 25 license. This means you CANNOT purchase adder license of 25 license AND BELOW. You're only allowed to purchase adder licenses ABOVE and only once. This means you can only buy 1 50 AP license before you hit the "mother load" and purchase 100 AP license.
